Collecting and using your Information
Your Information will be collected and used by Amplar Virtual Health, Medinet and Practitioners in order to provide the Services, including to:
- contact you for follow up purposes (such as sending you reminders and providing you with invoices) and to manage our ongoing relationship with you;
- send you patient satisfaction surveys and assess your responses to such surveys;
- provide you with technical support in relation to the Services and the Platform;
- maintain, evaluate, audit, develop and improve the Services and the Platform;
- to comply with its legal, compliance, regulatory and audit requirements.
- resolve any legal and/or commercial complaints or issues; and
- comply with law. together, these are the primary purpose for collection (the Primary Purpose).
If you provide your telephone number and/or email address, you consent to Amplar Virtual Health, Medinet and Practitioners using your telephone number (including mobile phone number) and email address to contact you for any of these purposes.
Amplar Virtual Health, Medinet and Practitioners will collect your Information directly from you where it is reasonable and practicable to do so. However, Amplar Virtual Health, Medinet and Practitioners may also collect your Information from one another and from third parties such as your treating general practitioner in order to perform the Services using the Platform.
Sharing your Information
Amplar Virtual Health, Medinet and Practitioners may share your Information with third parties as reasonably necessary for your use of the Services and the Platform. This includes:
- Inlight Media Pty Ltd (Inlight) which is the website host for this website and may collect, use, disclose and access Information to allow us to provide the Services to you (including by disclosing Information to Medinet). Inlight does not store or retain any Information;
- Calendly LLC (Calendly) which is the provider of the appointment booking system for the Platform and enables you to make a booking with a Practitioner;
- Medipass Solutions Pty Ltd (Medipass) which is the provider used to send Medicare service details to Medicare Australia for Medicare billing purposes;
- Tyro Payments Limited (Tyro) which is the secure payment gateway used to collect and process Your Card; and
- your treating general practitioner in order for the Practitioner to provide progress updates, request the provision of additional services and provide recommendations for further treatment.
- in Limited circumstances, emergency services (see further details below).
Each of the above parties may disclose your Information to Amplar Virtual Health, Medinet and Practitioners to facilitate the provision of the Services and the Platform. Amplar Virtual Health and Medinet will only receive tokenised information from Tyro and will not have access to Your Card information.
Calendly and Medipass will only collect and use your Information for the purposes described above and will collect your Information from Medinet. Tyro, as a contractor of Amplar Virtual Health, will collect, store, disclose or otherwise handle Your Card information in accordance with its Privacy Statement and Consent and Privacy Policy. Among other things, Tyro will use Your Card information for the following purposes:
- collecting, storing, and tokenising card information to facilitate the Tyro services in connection with the Services;
- collecting and storing your Information to create customer accounts in the Tyro eCommerce Portal to facilitate the following services (if applicable):
- storing of customer details, including card details, in order to provide card-on-file functionality;
- the processing of payments on a recurring basis;
- the generation and delivery of invoices and receipts to you via email;
- providing coupons to customers that allow them to avail of discounts;
- the analysis of data in relation to customer shopping habits in the online store;
- fraud detection and monitoring;
- internal business purposes;
- complying with its legal, compliance, regulatory and audit requirements
- allowing Tyro to include the information in anonymised form in aggregated databases that can be used to generate reports, statistics or other analysis for use in improving the Tyro services or promoting the Tyro services to third parties; and
- any additional use of Information necessary to implement new features of Tyro services in connection with the Services.
Amplar Virtual Health may share your Information with its related bodies corporate. Amplar Virtual Health may also share your Information with its related bodies corporate on a de-identified and aggregated basis to assess use of the Services and the Platform.
Should a patient present as an imminent risk to themselves or others, Practitioners have a duty of care to provide personal details of patients to emergency services so that the patient or those at risk of harm are safe. While some Practitioners will be employees of Amplar Virtual Health, other Practitioners will be engaged by Amplar Virtual Health as contractors and Amplar Virtual Health and Medinet may share your Information with such contractors.
Amplar Virtual Health, Medinet, Practitioners, Calendly, Medipass, Inlight and Tyro may also share your Information with other third parties as reasonably necessary for your use of the Services. For example, Medipass sending your Medicare service details to Medicare Australia for Medicare billing purposes.
Amplar Virtual Health, Medinet, Practitioners, Inlight and Medipass are unlikely to disclose your Information overseas. However:
- whilst Medipass’ principal place of storage and processing is exclusively in Australia, Medipass may disclose personal information to its related bodies corporate, service providers, and processing partners, such as Medipass’ help desk platform, that are located outside of Australia. Some of the third parties to whom Medipass discloses your personal information are located outside of Australia. These countries may include New Zealand, the United States of America, Ireland or the United Kingdom. For more details please see Medipass’ privacy policy at: https://medipass.com.au/privacy-policy;
- your Information collected by Calendly will be hosted in data centres in the United States of America; and
- whilst Tyro predominantly handles and tokenises Your Card information in Australia, there may be circumstances where Tyro may share the card information outside of Australia (eg the United States, Singapore and China) in accordance with its Privacy Statement and Consent and Privacy Policy.
If you do not provide your Information as required, Amplar Virtual Health, Medinet, Practitioners, Medipass, Tyro, Inlight and Calendly will not be able to provide the Services to you using the Platform. It is not possible for you to remain anonymous if you wish to use the Services and the Platform.
Retaining your Information
Subject to the following paragraph, Medinet will store your Information in data centres in Sydney, Australia for 7 years from the date of the last Service you received.
Should Amplar Virtual Health decide to cease using Medinet to facilitate the Services, all of your Information held by Medinet will be transferred to Amplar Virtual Health or a third party nominated by Amplar Virtual Health.
If the Services are discontinued in their entirety, then Medinet will hold your Information on Amplar Virtual Health's behalf for the above period.
